Aftercare is free for as long as you need us. Once the initial swelling has settled, we change your jewellery down to a shorter fit at no charge, so your stack sits perfectly as it heals.

Bumps and healing concerns
Problems are very unlikely, and small irritation bumps are common and usually settle well with the right care. If anything does concern you, you can come back and be seen by a doctor.
An honest conversation
We talk through the risks, what it will feel like and how healing can take longer than you might expect. A piercing that has been in for a few weeks can leave a lasting mark, so every decision is an informed one.
I pierce the whole body: ears, noses, lips and other facial piercings, belly buttons, dermals, and more intimate piercings for over 18s. If your anatomy is not suited to a particular piercing, I will explain why and suggest something that will look and heal beautifully.

Why a doctor became a piercer.

For twelve years I have run The Sloan Clinics alongside my work as a private GP and in hormone and aesthetic medicine. I trained formally in piercing, was awarded my diploma with a Merit, and built this studio to the same clinical standards I hold everywhere else in my practice.
What I did not expect was how much I would love the artistry of it. Helping a client refine a stack she already adores, finding the perfect piece for a tricky placement, or seeing someone light up in the mirror is a genuine joy.
My hope is that you walk in feeling comfortable and safe, and walk out with a moment worth remembering.

We pierce first earlobes from age 4 and additional earlobes from age 10, provided we agree together that it is the young person’s own choice. Anyone under sixteen needs a parent or legal guardian present. Every client leaves with our gift bag of aftercare and spare fine jewellery retainers.

How do I look after my new earrings?
Keep them dry, try not to touch or twist them, and let your grown up help you follow your aftercare card.
Do I get a present?

I pierce the whole body. Ears, noses, lips and other facial piercings, belly buttons, dermals, and more intimate piercings for over 18s. As a GP and cosmetic doctor I know the body and its anatomy in detail, and I bring a genuinely creative eye to every placement.
That combination means honest advice. If your anatomy is not suited to a particular piercing, or a placement would not look the way you hope, I will explain why and suggest something that will look and heal beautifully.
More private piercings are carried out with complete discretion, in a calm clinical room where you can feel entirely at ease.

Our piercing policy was reviewed by Lewes District Council as part of our piercing registration. These are clinic minimum ages, not a guarantee of suitability, and no exception will be made solely because a parent gives permission.
